How to Connect to Your Remote PC

This guide explains how to connect to your remote PC using Appwebify from any device with a browser.

Prerequisites

Before connecting, ensure:

  • ✅ Appwebify Agent is installed on the target PC
  • ✅ Agent is running and showing Online status
  • ✅ You’re logged into appwebify.com with the same account

Connection Methods

The easiest way to connect:

  1. Open your browser and go to appwebify.com/dashboard
  2. Find your PC in the applications list
  3. Verify it shows a green Online status
  4. Click the Connect button

The remote session will open in a new tab.

Method 2: Direct URL

If you know your PC’s agent ID, use a direct URL:

https://appwebify.com/viewer?agent=YOUR_AGENT_ID

Connection Interface

Once connected, you’ll see:

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Ctrl + Alt + F - Toggle fullscreen

Connection Settings

Video Quality

Choose based on your network speed:

Quality Bandwidth Best For
Auto Adaptive Most users
High 10+ Mbps Fast connections
Medium 5-10 Mbps Standard broadband
Low 2-5 Mbps Slow or mobile connections

Input Settings

  • Absolute Mouse - Mouse position matches exactly (recommended)
  • Relative Mouse - Gaming-style mouse movement
  • Touch Mode - For tablet and phone users

Multi-Monitor Support

If your remote PC has multiple monitors:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the toolbar
  2. Select Display tab
  3. Choose which monitor to view
  4. Or select All Monitors for extended view

Audio Streaming

To hear audio from your remote PC:

  1. Click the Audio button in the toolbar
  2. Grant browser permission if prompted
  3. Adjust volume using the slider

Note: Audio streaming requires a stable connection. If you experience stuttering, try lowering video quality.

Mobile Connection

Appwebify works on mobile browsers too:

iOS (Safari)

  1. Open Safari on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Go to appwebify.com/dashboard
  3. Connect as usual
  4. Use touch gestures:
    • Tap = Click
    • Double-tap = Double-click
    • Two-finger tap = Right-click
    • Pinch = Zoom

Android (Chrome)

Same steps as iOS. Chrome on Android provides the best experience.

Connection Troubleshooting

“Agent Offline” Error

  1. Check if the agent is running on the remote PC
  2. Verify internet connectivity on both ends
  3. Restart the agent service

Slow or Laggy Connection

  1. Lower the video quality setting
  2. Close unnecessary browser tabs
  3. Use a wired connection if possible
  4. Check for bandwidth-heavy applications

Black Screen

  1. Wait 5-10 seconds for the stream to initialize
  2. Click anywhere on the screen
  3. Try refreshing the page
  4. Check if the remote PC screen is locked

Disconnected Unexpectedly

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. The session may have timed out (free tier: 24 hr/month)
  3. The remote PC may have gone to sleep

Best Practices

  1. Use a stable connection - Wired ethernet is best
  2. Close unnecessary applications - Both locally and remotely
  3. Update your browser - Chrome/Edge recommended
  4. Disable screen saver - On the remote PC
  5. Set power plan to High Performance - Prevents sleep
